BUILT TO LAST IN THE TREASURE VALLEY

Standard poured concrete patios in Idaho are prone to cracking and heaving due to our severe winter freeze-thaw cycles. Natural flagstone offers a beautiful, resilient alternative. Because flagstone is laid in individual pieces over a compacted base of crushed gravel and sand, the patio has the flexibility to shift and breathe with the ground without cracking. It is a long-term investment that withstands our harsh climate year after year.

Grey Mist

Grey mist features a pallet of mellow to dark greys combined with occasional splashes of rust. Rust spots are general characteristics of the stone. Fairly consistent grey sandstone can blend in to a wide range of color schemes creating contemporary and modern designs

Antique Black

Antique black consists of black and charcoal tones. The surface is tumbled to get a smooth, chalky antique look, which will dramatically change the ambiance of your project.

Oakley Stone

Characterized by it’s shimmering silver, gray, and gold hues, it features subtle veining that adds depth and dimension to its surface. This stone is highly resistant to weathering and staining, making it an excellent choice for indoor and outdoor applications including countertops, flooring, and wall cladding.

Autumn Mist

A beige-brown colored sandstone characterized by beautiful, unique fern-like fossil patterns, brown swirls throughout the surface.

Antique Silver

A distinctive natural stone known for it its rich golden hues and unique texture. Sourced from the Oakley Valley region of Idaho, this stone features a beautiful blend of warm earthy tones, ranging from deep amber to lighter golds, often with hints of browns and creams.

Arizona Rose

Embodying classic Southwestern imagery, Arizona Rose Flagstone features a beautiful mix of warm dusty rose, soft salmon, and desert sand tones. Its sun-baked palette adds natural warmth and timeless desert charm to walkways, patios, and outdoor living spaces.

Antique Gold

A tumbled quartzite showcasing a blend of shimmering colors like gold, pink, brown, and turquoise to form unique random patterns. The strength of quartzite makes it suitable for a wide range of applications.

Lime Black

Shows a nice blend of black and charcoal tones with non-tumbled finish. Depicting fewer ridges on the surface, it serves as an ideal option for creating an innovative landscaping design area.

HOW MUCH FLAGSTONE DO I NEED?

Unlike bulk materials sold by the cubic yard, natural stone is incredibly heavy and is sold by weight, typically by the ton or by the pallet.

The Rule of Thumb:

1 ton of standard patio grade flagstone covers approximately 70 to 100 square feet, depending on the thickness of the stone and the width of your joints.

Calculation Steps:

  1. Calculate your total square footage (length x width of your patio/path).
  2. Decide on your joint size. Tight, mortared joints require more stone. Wide joints filled with gravel or groundcover require less stone.
  3. Bring your square footage to the yard, and our team will help you calculate the exact number of pallets required for your specific stone choice.

FORKLIFT FLATBED DELIVERY TO YOUR DRIVEWAY

A full pallet of flagstone can weigh up to 4,000 pounds (2 tons). Do not attempt to load this into a standard pickup truck. Victory Greens utilizes specialized flatbed trucks equipped with heavy-duty forklifts. We will safely transport your pallets across the Treasure Valley and place them directly onto your driveway, saving your vehicle and your back.

FREQUENTLY ASKED FLAGSTONE QUESTIONS

Does Victory Greens install the flagstone?

Victory Greens is strictly a supplier. We source, stock, and deliver the highest quality natural stone to your property, but we do not perform hardscape installation. However, our materials are trusted and used by the top landscape contractors across the Treasure Valley, and we are happy to supply the materials for your DIY build or your hired contractor.

What should I put underneath my flagstone?

A solid base is everything. For a dry-laid patio in Idaho, you should excavate the soil and lay down a 4-inch to 6-inch base of compacted 3/4″ minus crushed gravel (road base), topped with about 1 inch of leveling sand. We sell all the bulk base materials you need to build it right!

Should I seal my flagstone?

Sealing is not recommended in Idaho because it can trap moisture in the stone and cause cracking due to our freeze-thaw cycles.
