WHY BUY BULK?

In the Treasure Valley, we battle intense summer sun, high winds, and severe winter freezes. While plants require constant care and wood borders eventually rot, natural boulders are completely immune to the Idaho elements. They require absolutely zero watering, won’t blow away in a windstorm, and provide essential structural integrity for sloped properties. Boulders are the ultimate ‘plant it once’ landscaping investment.

Accent Boulders

Large, highly textured, and uniquely shaped rocks meant to stand alone. These are the “show-stoppers” you place in the center of a garden bed or at the entrance of a driveway.

Stackable/Wall Boulders

Boulders that feature flatter tops and bottoms. These are specifically chosen by landscape contractors because they lock together safely and securely when building natural retaining walls or terraced garden beds.

Water Feature Rocks

Character-rich rocks with natural bowls, ledges, or pre-drilled holes designed specifically to direct water flow for backyard ponds, waterfalls, and bubblers.

HOW ARE BOULDERS SIZED AND PRICED?

Boulders are sold individually by weight (per pound or per ton) rather than by the yard. Because rock is incredibly dense, it is very easy to underestimate how heavy a boulder actually is.

The Rule of Thumb:

A boulder roughly the size of a standard microwave can weigh between 150 and 200 pounds. A boulder the size of a mini-fridge can easily weigh over 1,000 pounds!

How to Shop:

Step 1: Walk our Meridian yard and browse our massive selection.
Step 2: When you find the perfect rocks, our yard crew will use a loader to bring them to our industrial scale.
Step 3: You pay for the exact weight of the stone, and we either load it into your heavy-duty trailer or schedule it for flatbed delivery.

FORKLIFT FLATBED DELIVERY TO YOUR DRIVEWAY

Moving a 1,500-pound boulder requires serious machinery. Do not risk ruining your personal vehicle’s suspension or scratching your truck bed. Victory Greens uses heavy-duty flatbed trucks equipped with powerful attached forklifts. We will safely transport your chosen boulders across the Treasure Valley and place them securely onto your concrete driveway.

FREQUENTLY ASKED BOULDER QUESTIONS

How do I make a boulder look natural in my yard?

The biggest mistake DIY landscapers make is resting a boulder perfectly flat on top of the dirt. In nature, rocks are partially buried. For the most organic, professional look, you should dig a shallow depression and bury the bottom 1/3 of the boulder in the ground. This makes it look like the rock has been there for centuries.

Does Victory Greens place the boulder in my garden bed for me?

We provide driveway delivery only. Because our heavy delivery forklifts cannot drive over curbs, lawns, or through backyard gates, we will place your boulders safely on your concrete driveway. You or your landscape contractor will need to move them to their final location using a rock dolly, pinch bars, or a skid-steer.

How do I move a boulder from my driveway to my backyard?

If it is a smaller boulder (under 300 lbs), a heavy-duty ball cart or rock dolly and a couple of strong friends can do the trick. For massive accent boulders, you will likely need to rent a piece of heavy machinery (like a Dingo or skid-steer) or hire a local landscape contractor to position it safely.

COME PICK YOUR PERFECT ROCK

Because every boulder is completely unique in shape, color, and texture, they must be selected in person. Visit our Meridian yard today to tag the exact stones that will anchor your landscape.
